Grass Hill Alpacas Call

Two addresses on Adams Road

Come up to Grass Hill.

The working farm is at one number. The seasonal shop is at another. Both are welcome — here's what to expect at each.

The Farm · Year-round

82 Adams Road.

The working farm itself — ten alpacas, a few goats, the reclaimed pasture and stonewalls. The land has been in Nancy Forster's family since 1875. It's officially a Forster Soil Management livestock-and-pasture demonstration site, and Jim and Nancy are NOFA members.

Visits welcome by arrangement — give Jim or Nancy a call first.

The Backporch PacaStop · October–December

58 Adams Road.

The seasonal pop-up shop on Jim and Nancy's back porch. Christmas-decorated, baskets of socks and mittens, the wooden farm sign out front. Pull into the driveway when the PacaStop signs are out — that means we're open.

This season's hours

  • Tue – Fri · 4:30 – 7:30 PM
  • Sat – Sun · 1:00 – 6:00 PM
  • Mon closed.

Getting here

Ten minutes from Northampton. Up Route 9, then right on Adams Road. The house with the sign.

Outside the season? The shop is also open online year-round.
